MANDATE ISSUED:

Jerome Marquis Gaines was convicted of murdering Khaiela Russell. He has filed an appeal of the conviction to this Court in which he (a) attacks the sufficiency of the evidence of his guilt, (b) complains that the trial court did not sua sponte define for the jury the meaning of the phrases "reasonable doubt" and "deliberate design," (c) urges error in the trial court's refusal to grant an accident instruction, and (d) argues that the court erred in denying the defense's in limine motion to keep the jury from learning that Russell was pregnant at the time of her death. We find these issues to be without merit and affirm the conviction.
